Under this partnership, students will be co-supervised by a member of Durham’s Department of Theology of Religion and a member of SMC staff. Please note that PhD students on this route become students of Durham University and can only enter the programme by applying to and being accepted by Durham University, however initial discussion should take place with St Mellitus College prior to contacting the University. The process from initial contact to confirmation of acceptance on the programme will normally take several months.

In the first instance, prospective students can either (1) approach a member of the SMC academic staff team directly to enquire about PhD supervision or (2) email headofresearch@stmellitus.ac.uk with details of their proposed area of research.
